.......on filling my spring turkey tag. I was already thinking I was ending my streak on account of our population locally is extremely sparse this year. Shot number 36 this afternoon. He was a young gobbler that I am tickled to have gotten concidering I had only been out 3 times, and may have only been able to go out 2 more times before season ended. I will add the usual photo tommorrow, my phone is pouting, or something like that. This jake is only the second tom I had located where I could hunt.

Congrats! That's a pretty good streak!
Same problem here in Northeast Missouri. Turkey pox, too many predators, and I'm not too sure that thelbuffalo knats dont have something to do with it.

Congrats
I've never hunted turkey Believe it or not but hunting wild turkey in the spring is about the closest thing I there is to hunting elk during the rut. The major difference being that turkey can see better and elk can smell better. ol'dad

Thanks for all the cudos, folks. I used to be a real nut for chasing gobblers. So was/is my All Purpose Boy. I hope his sons catch the gobbler bug as well. Nothing would tickle me more than having those boys fill the other side of that old stock with turkey tracks of their own.
