Did that last week with burnt fried tater stuck on a skillet. Makes me cringe, Warrior. I hope the pan was cooled off at least. Then again, the way I was bleeding, I could have seared it the gash closed. Lol.

Jon, you KNOW us Montanans use a KNIFE instead of FANGernails A Katana works well too . Sharon, Fangernail is just southern slang round these parts. I gotta keep my southern identity. Think I’ll go make some sweet tea. I’d make sun tea but the 2” of snow I got overnight isn’t cutting it. Lol. Hey I was born and raised in south FLA ! I say it like you do, to this day ! Sweet tea, add the catfish, hushpuppies and black eyed peas , lots of buttah, and you have it ! Been snowing in the high peaks here, snain in the valleys today ....gotta love it .

Sharon, South Florida is basically Cuba anymore. Lol. I can’t name a Cuban dish but they’re all good. I went on a cruise out of Miami once and ate local for 2 days. Was like a Wierd Al Yankovic video. Lol. Yes, way back when I was there , that was the case . Cuban coffee- you can stand a KNIFE in it without falling ....they were basically a fun colourful people...the neighborhoods were very bright painted homes-often clashing with each other , lol ...their music was great. The beat that made you want to dance...Santana was the guitarist to hear back then. And the cars....just like in Cuba...the old classics is what all the LEGAL responsible immigrants still loved to have...and then there were the cruisers ...the low riders Friday after work, everyone washed and waxed their rides, then all day Saturday was crusin' time . Decent folks for the most part. That was when I was in Miami . BTW- if you ever go back and want folks to instantly regard you as someone who has known generations in FLA....don't pronounce Miami as Miameeeeeee......as everyone does...say MyAmmah- really That's the way the real local folks call it. I spent most of my time showing jumping horses in Ocala , mid-state...a beautiful place. Horse country. Miss mangoes, but I will never live back east anyplace again.

The kids finished breakfast and, naturally, with a two year old, there was some cereal on the table and floor. One of those corn flakes had dried up drier than a popcorn fart. I went to scrape it off the floor with my fangernail and it went under my nail and drew blood. It felt like a badger had crawled under there and started digging. A derned CORNFLAKE! I must be getting weak. I’m gonna go for a run now. Marine survives three tours in Iraq; falls victim to Cornflake

Last fall I bumped my left thumb into the molding on the door. Got a splinter under my nail that went from the top left all the way to the bottom right corner. Pulling that one out was fun.

I have friends of mine who live in Inverness , right near Ocala. They live in a 'horse' community. Think golf community but with barns , stables , trails. Just go down and take out a horse instead going golfing. You would like that , Sharon

Lol, Les, I don’t go to the bathroom at night in case one of these terrorists put a landline out - aka, matchbox car. My Dad would swear at tiddlywinks when I was a kid, and nowadays, I burn tamarack, and you tend to keep that sort of thing swept up, as a sliver in the bottom of your foot, at my age, is difficult to remove, let alone see without help.
