shanemoss OP trapper S Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,883 Alabama/ SE Wisconsin	The vsc and trac off and engine light is on, on a 2002 toyota avalon. I tightened the gas cap and disconnected the battery and it went off for 3 days and came back on. I went to advance to buy a belt for it and asked them to check it. Guy said it has a small leak in exhaust system somewhere and the thermostat was reading low? That's it. None of the young staff had any idea how to fix it. Any of you guys got any idea? Do I replace thermostat? Does any of that have any thing to do with the vsc and trac light? I don't even know what vsc is and I assume trac has something to do with traction control? I appreciate any help. As for now, I'll just use tape. I'm gonna change the belts and check idlers tomorrow to fix a squeal. Maybe I'll bump something that cures it. Lol thanks When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.
