The purpose of masks in NOT to avoid getting the virus....its to stop you from SPREADING it !!

We have lost valued members of Trapperman to Covid. Sure, Covid kills only a fairly small percentage of people, but it does absolutely kill some people and we will miss some of them. Covid also causes permanent damage to a larger number of people who get it. I don't think most US medical personnel would want people to get vaccinated unless they thought it was better for our population as a whole. I don't think that our doctors, nurses and pharmacists wish us harm.

The only reason i see that people are not getting the vaccine is fear of personal harm from the vaccine and a failure to have enough empathy with other Americans, who they can infact, to overcome that fear.

Wearing no mask identifies me as a conservative, and someone that doesnt recognise the virus as life threatening.

The mask is an identity thing, has nothing to do with health, IMO

I had a physical today and my Dr. tried to explain how the RNA vaccine worked. It was similar to Biden reciting Shakespeare after 3:00 pm.

There are probably lots of other reasons folks decide not to get flu shots or a covid vaccination.

In my case I prefer to rely on my own immune system. That has been working out pretty good for me all my long life. I've never had a flu shot and up until January a year and a half ago, I've never had the flu. I'm pretty sure that was covid, The entire family had it. Turned into bronchitis for me. I drank a bunch of elderberry syrup and in two or three days I got back to work.

Other than that incident I rarely ever get sick despite kids and grandkids constantly trying to infect me with the virus of the day. I'll get the sniffles and a scratchy throat for day then my immune system kicks it's arse and becomes even stronger.

So there's at least one reason other than fear why someone wouldn't get the covid vaccination.

I take care of my Mother and if she would have taken the shot, l would have as well.
My Mother always got her flu shot every year. Never fail
But after the last 4+ years of what she watched happen to this country.
She can not trust anyone or anything said on TV. No more vaxx for her.
I didn't start this thread trying to stick my finger in anyone's eye.
