When you can't or won't draft to fill your military needs, one needs to offer society acceptable career options to attract our younger adults. One wonders what military recruitment promos will look like in another generation of volunteer army. Many other nations don't need to do all the promo and marketing, being in the service was considered a very honorable and sought after career. When in India in 2008 there were about 1.1 million troops in the Indian army and they had thousands to choose from for the few openings they had available.
