Thats some good looking wood. Put some one pieces in between and layer it and let it dry you will be good to go. You can get a cheap moisture meter if you want to be accurate about how dry it is. I counted my stack of poplar 2x4's today I have 178 that I cut and stacked last fall. They should be good to use this summer. Nothing like good sawmill lumber especially if you have the mill. It's all about sweat equity you put into the lumber not dollars spent. Scuba hurry up and get that thing going I want to see it in action. That big pile of logs you have needs some attention. I've got 22 logs as of today to get started on.

I need to take a couple of those logs to your place as I need some 4x4's for putting the thing on level on posts in the ground. Or I have to mill those posts with the chainsaw but thats not as straight as on your mill .... wink wink wink

Let's go Brandon

Sounds good Scuba. The mill is set up at my buddies house right now we can cut on it anytime. Just let me know when. If you already have a log thats good if not let me know how many 4x4's and what species you require.

I didn't know people used poplar for 2x4s. I wish someone would come make 2x4s out of the giant poplars in my backyard that I wish were not there.
