Lots of grub coming your way later on! Do the spruce trees ever mess with any of your veggies? I've heard they mess with apple trees if planted next year, but maybe that's a just a story...

Those are spruce?
Idk I don't seem to have garden trouble except the shade.
The old guy planted them too close together, they are slowly dying.
I haven't had an apple tree in long time now

I have a spruce windbreak on the west and north sides of my home garden. Stuff grows slower and smaller near those windbreaks. Lot of roots sucking up water and nutrients. Put up my rabbit fence today. It is easier than trying to catch them all. With your mound system do you need to water frequently or do you get good moisture lifting up. We had a lot of colder weather in early May but the soil was warmer than typical and thus seeds have germinated and emerged faster than normal. Nice to have strong seedlings not having to burn up as much energy before emerging. Weeds are coming also and my mulch options will get a good test early.
Lots of flower on the strawberries this spring and asparagus is really shooting in these last warmer days.

Looking good! My garden is in, Northern lower Michigan. I think we may have a cold night Friday but I am ready with covers, then I think we may be in the clear for frost. All of my pole beans are volunteers, I pulled poles last fall and dried beans fell to the ground. So I put the poles right back as I had better sprouting than if I planted...

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

Yeah I saw last weeks post that's why I mentioned it. The chucks would do well to leave your garden alone.

Looks good T , I dont have the row crop plastic down, don"t know if I will. I think I'll plant onions today, and maybe spuds. Near chance of frost for the next 3 days, so it will freeze somewhere, full moon on Wednesday, go figure. I dont get excited till after memorial day. Last danger of frost here is the 10th of June.

My son saw the chuck, he thought I meant my backyard, I was out in the country.
He said it didn't hardly look legal, lol.
Woodchucks haven't been here yet, I have to use fence to stop deer and coon
