Fellow Kansans, we need to hold his feet to the fire on opposing this nomination, call Moran's Washington office at 202-228-6966 and tell him why he needs to vote No. Roger Marshall's senate office number is 202-224-4774 contact his office and ask him to vote no although I think he will be on our side. Do this tomorrow guys.

K52 he voted to confirm Deb Haaland. Might as well put a D after his name, Moran that is. I think Marshall wont vote for chipman.

I was going by Marshall's responce to the electoral count, Moran was all in with the election. We need to contact both and tell them to oppose the nomination.

You've certainly told lies about me.

No, I have no current examples. You haven't done so recently, that I recall.

But I'll be sure to point it out next time you do it.

Moran's number is 202-224-6521, but Marshall's is correct. I have gotten hold of Moran's secretary and she said she would relay my message to oppose the confirmation, but I have yet to get a hold of Marshall's office. A buddy at work did get through, I expect both lines are extremely busy today. grin

Dear Michael,

Thank you for contacting me regarding the nomination of David Chipman to be director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). I always appreciate hearing from Tennesseans.

The ATF is responsible for enforcing federal laws involving the use, manufacture, and possession of firearms and explosives, and illegal trafficking of alcohol and tobacco. On April 12, 2021, President Biden nominated David Chipman to serve as the director of the ATF. Mr. Chipman’s nomination was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee, of which I am a member.

The Second Amendment protects the right to keep and bear arms, and law-abiding citizens who are gun owners should not be subjected to unconstitutional abridgements of their rights or targeted for persecution. I have concerns about Mr. Chipman’s nomination due to his views on Second Amendment rights and gun control regulations.

I appreciate your thoughtful comments. As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, please be assured that I will keep your thoughts close at hand should Mr. Chipman’s nomination come before the committee for consideration.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me. If you would like regular updates on my work for Tennessee, please sign up for my weekly newsletter or follow me on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Sincerely,

Marsha Blackburn
United States Senator

Whats up with Moran Andrew? Back in the day we counted him as a good one. The ol boy at Nicks pawn shop next to Cleve's Marine organized a grass roots organization for Saline and the surrounding area for the purpose of making sure Graves was not elected again when Kansas was having trouble getting a gov to sign off on a CC legislation that had huge support in the house and senate.

Anyway, back in the day we all counted Jerry as 2A solid

Don't know lefty, I think maybe they got some dirt on him or something. He has had some sketchy votes lately IMO. Voted to confirm a lady a while back that hates farmers, KS is a farm and ranching state. crazy I sure hope we can count on him, but feel it is in our best interest to remind him how the voters feel on these things.

Well we know it can happen with Supreme Court nominees so why not anyone else. If he does need the boot I assured you there will be a rock solid little group up where 70 crosses 135 that keep their powder dry in case someone like that needs to be called to account.

He can just be all kindsa compromised stayin home at his own kitchen counter if he want's to be like that. Too many good patriots in Kansas not to find a better man to ship to DC if he won't straighten up and I mean right now

Bill Graves was an imbecile before he became governor. Anytime in the 70's you drove I70 between KC and Denver you would see a Graves truck every half hour or so. Graves trucking was a money making operation. Bill, when he ran for office, bragged about "stacking em high and tight" when he worked for his Dad loading trucks, only he never loaded one. He worked in the office. When his dad died Graves Truckline went bankrupt in less than 5 years with Bill running it. Another Big R hero that was just a joke. Rode to the mansion cause of his daddy's friends.

Moran is a Rhino at best. He sent an email on Nov. 27th last year saying that Biden had won in a free and fair election, this was even before all the court cases that had been filed were turned down. Said that he is a constitutional Republican and we must respect the election results and work with the Dems. I called to voice my disapproval of Chipman as ATF director and hope enough of us pressure him to vote no. Moran needs to go, I don't trust him anymore, don't think he cares what the people that got him there think and want.
