Douglas seems to have fallen out of favor with the new "crowd", but have won a lot of matches and killed a lot of game over the years. Delivery is quick, too. I ordered a special contour and length, chambered in .223 Remington, and threaded for a Savage target action, had it In 4 weeks flat. And it's a shooter. Inch and a half at 300 yards,with a thrown together load last weekend at a mid-range F class match.

A great barrel can be made to shoot poorly by any number of 'gunsmiths'. A mediocre barrel can be made to shoot well by a good 'smith. A good barrel chambered by a good, long-range gunsmith can be a joy to shoot. If the pics don't show up, click the links.
