I found an Oakley's model, valve, for 55$ on Midway shooting supplies

So this is one of my pet peeves. You can find a huge selection z87 safety glasses for $4 a pair and you can find a huge selection of polarized driving/fishing glasses for $10-$15 a pair but it is difficult to find any polarized z87 glasses for under $80. Everyone talks about Costas and I have a pair that I really like but Costas are not safety certified. The best value for z87 polarized glasses I have found are Edge Safety Glasses. The Kazbek model fits me pretty well and I think they are about $26 a pair. Most of us that are required to wear safety glasses every day can’t afford to buy Wiley X’s every time we loose a pair.

I've got a pair of Maui Jim sun glasses but I don't consider them safety glasses , my every day sun glasses are WileyX for the wraparound design and that's what my eye Dr strongly recommended I get .
I get sun or wind burns on my eye's as strange as that sounds .
If WileyX is good enough for the military over in the sand box they're good enough for me .

I have to get sunglasses in my prescription, last pair was polarized and work well but the frames were kinda loose, a pair of appropriate sized O rings in the hinge fixes that.

I don’t know what brand these are that Jtrap sported back in his goat gazing days... but they look fairly cool to me... I think Jeff Daumer had a pair as well

Gave my Costas to my son. As bad as I hate to admit it, Dicks sell a pair for about $12-15 that are very good.

Wiley x are great glasses. Had several pair of Costas, but the Wiley x’s fit and feel better.

Those are K-Mart socks and pre’84 for me. I still have my Little League uniform with stirrups that those socks were worn with. Ahh, the good ole days. Other than playing Baseball it was bare feet, lol!

Ok, I’m going with Wiley X just because I want a pair or two. Just can’t decide on the model. Anyone have the model with the shield around the eyes for dust and pollen? Wondering if that would help during burn season.

Just an update…finally found someone local who carried Wiley X and went with the Gravity model. These are really nice sunglasses and came with the cavity shield to block dust and wind.

Also took someone’s advice on here and filled out a warranty claim online for my Costa’s and got an email today telling me they no longer make that model and gave me a choice of 5 I could choose from. So I’ll be getting a brand new pair from them in a week or so!!
