While I generally won't turn my back on anyone from East of the Mississippi, I'd git a line wet with Bandy anytime he buys me a plane ticket. You need fishin lessons that is a small price to pay. That and my feed bill which to be fair is considerable LOL

Kick some butt today Bandy

Fish there a lot, may run into you sometime. Fish Soco creek about everyday I 'm there. Fish the Ravens branch too. Got a couple friends living there, one on the reservation. Mike

I figured out long ago that if I kept my limit I'd have to stop fishing when the limit was hit.
I've had a day when I have done everything wrong and still caught fish, ended up catching over 3x my limit. Would of missed a really special day if I was keeping fish that day.
And I've had days that all I caught was 1 fish but the bite and the fight was so memorable that 20 years later I still remember it.

If you make it to the September tournament give me a call (276)-210-7105 and we can get together and chew the fat. The simple fact is I love trout fishing I've been at since I was a little one and guess I always will. Some tournament's you catch so many fish you just get tired of catching. This wasn't one of those trips one of the reasons I go is to spend time with my uncle my dad's young brother he is only 12 years older than me. See my dad died when I was one and a half years old and well uncle Joe B and me have made this a yearly thing it's good medicine for both of us.

That rock looks familiar. Did you fish the first tournament this year? That was a circus with all the rain. We only caught half our limit but the were some big ones and they were fat. Mike

And if Brown Trout are more to your liking.

Myself, I like rainbows better, they fight much better.

Who wants to lug around 1 fish like this much less than our limit of 5?

I toss them all back, I get more enjoyment out of fishing than eating.

Quality over quantity my friends.

Don't care to eat a lot of trout but love catching any kind of fish, If not for childhood friends living there I would not fish it much. I usually can the ones I keep or give it to people who like it. Canned 36 pints this spring so I'm good for a year. I can't get enough fishing those mountain streams, don't care what kind of fish I catch there. Bluegill over 10 inches are my main target in real life. Mike

Mike C I am not a big trout eater either but a couple years ago a buddy of mine who guides down in the gulf put us on some sea trout and basically begged me to try them. It was top notch

I have fished there, thought at first it was out east of town on Soco but the water was going the wrong way.
