I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

8pm 365 days a year Taps is played from a downtown rooftop in our town. Everything stops at the tavern and everyone funnels out to the street for a moment of remembrance.

We have numerous military bases around here and they play "Retreat" over loud speakers at sunset. Everyone stops and stands at attention while it is played. Anyone driving in a vehicle stops until it is over. I am a civilian, but I stop what I am doing when the music starts. Gives me chills every time.
