They are cool critters. They have one at Sea World in San Antonio and the thing literally likes to cuddle with its trainers

we dry the meat, can have dry the meat and put in seal oil too. I ate the muktuk last night. We usually boil the muktuk. We mostly get white ones, but will end up with grey ones in whale nets. Should be some in the bay Sounds good to me. Would love to travel up your way and eat the local food.

You sure that is a baby. Looks awful big to me and not gray like a calf.
Had some mattak yesterday; prefer it raw vs. boiled. I was told it is a baby..... I dunno that much about them myself so it could very well be an adult!
