Resources? China probably has the lion's share of many resources that other Asian nations do not have. When in Nam South Vietnam was the rice bowl of Asia. Only 15-20 million people and very productive rice production which allows many other nations trading options, which includes China. Bryce

History is not looking good on this subject. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/31/ray-dalio-on-chinese-yuan-becoming-a-global-reserve-currency.html If we held the debt we owe them until we find out about Covid -19, that should also be another thing to consider.
