I have a friend that was attacked by his chocolate lab. Tore his hand up pretty good. They opted to send the dog to the pound because of this unpredictable action and grandchildren. The dog was acting a bit strange when they came to get it so it was euthanized. It tested negative for rabies but had a growth or tumor of some sort on its brain.

You never know.

I may not be one that would want to pay someone else to do the deed but I'd have put the dog down too

Sad deal to have to lose your dog like that. Tumors/growths on the brain will make animals and people do some crazy things.

That’s for sure, had a aunt that started acting strange, talking to and seeing people and things that weren’t there and often violent mood swings, could be just fine and happy one moment and raging violently made the next

Went there on for a couple months till they finally did an MRI and found a small tumor about the size of a large blueberry, thankfully they managed to remove it without incident and she is fine now

Sounds like a dangerous breed. We should ban them all.

Any dog can have a bad day , especially when they get older and have aches and pains in their body

Unpredictable .........and trust won't keep them from acting out

Actually he got that 90lb lab off of him, there is a breed he wouldn’t have.
