Not gonna ask shop this question but thought someone know, my colorado with 240 k on it, good runner, 5 spd clutch with high release as worn yrs but still clutch good, inline 4 with dbl overhead cam,16 valves, variable exhaust timing, I lug bfore let clutch out but rarely an usslly happen it in big town close with all hills an stoplites, was leave dentist, not sure why but not go try do again but not enough gas at stoplites hill an sound terrible for few seconds as lug an knock tick noise, not sure is but not good an then I clutch it an rev up 2-3000 rpm, let off gas an still run idle rough so pull over an run normal, but what could that be when run rough for 10 seconds after lug engine? An is it bad motor when that happen or lug it ? If don't hardly ever happen, I's there any permant effects damage motor ? Like rods or bearings ? Motor try go but can't an close die , or rev up an then idle rough 10 seconds after, flood from to much gas rev an motor out time temp ? I don't understand happen or if permant damage to rod an bearings , it was fine run a cpl min after incident

Sounds like loose rod bearings-could run for years that way.

... that bad colored nurse put sugar in your gas tank would be my guess ... hopefully not and it just flooded for a minute

Any motor if lug engine bad we'll make noise if don't stall, I just ask if anyone know what go on motor if that happens an why after clutch it that not run right for min, an if any permant damage , I rember 3 years ago that took off from ridiculous steep hill in town an stall it, an now rember not run idle right for 10 seconds an then run ok, not sure happen, there hills in that town that got be worse in state

I just Google lug engine, say it could cause timing issues, maybe that why not ifke right after clutch motor, for 10 seconds, I suppose if ok now, no permant damage, I not do that again, keep rpms up

Probably time for a tune up . New spark plugs , wires , around that many miles I had to change the either cam shaft ,or crankshaft position sensor , i dont remember wich . But it acted like that a few times . I stopped at the local auto parts store and had them hook up to scanner and replaced all the sensors that were throwing a code its still running at well over 300,000
