Just looking for all of the benefits without doing their part, I love when they quote maritime laws they cherry pick anything the can grasp on to. We have a few in other counties the Sheriff there deals with them often he also teaches at the academy on dealing with them.

I've seen some where they win, some where they lose. I know lots of police don't know many laws, just the ones they deal with most. They are police officers, not attorneys.

I'm of the opinion that the more a person is poked, prodded and stolen from and told to like it the more likely they are to find some means of justifying telling the rest of the world to FO no matter how crazy it seems.

Heck, lot's of people are now using their playbook on all kinds of issues.
It's simple. Take a piece of information from here and then take another piece of information from there, mix up the information out of context until it fits your desired conclusion and bam--you have a crazy idea that some people will buy as credible. If you can put it on YouTube or the like, bonus points because that's where lazy people are told how to think. I thought the people that needed told how to think went to schools to learn that.

Most of us have less freedom now than when we were born. A few little kids may not. I understand why people are saying enough.
In 1914 my great grandad sent my 11 year old grandad to the train station in Lamar CO. They were in the middle of wheat harvest and greatgranddad could not get away. Greatgrandad had bought a new car through the hardware store and it was coming in on the train. The guy that owned the store and my grandad figured out how to drive it from the owners manual and my 11 year old grandad drove it home and showed greatgrandad. He told me the original driver license they came out with cost a quarter. No test or age limit. Just a tax. He hated paying for permission to drive and passed that on to me. I think he would have had a stroke if he had been told he had to wear a seatbelt and could no longer smoke his pipe in the coffee shop or at the auctions he liked so much.
I have bent about as much as I am going to.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

without permission or probable cause a police officer does need a warrant to search a vehicle, does that make me sovereign? It helps to know statutes and codes and they might have them on youtube but most states have a big book of them. I always say I am in route to go to or from hunting when pulled over that way my sidearm can be on my side. Guess I'm one of the funny ones, much more free than most. I think your jealous.

You live in Texas and can’t carry a gun? I live in Georgia and have never ever been questioned about a weapon, exposed or concealed. I see people carrying open in restaurants and stores all the time and never seen them questioned.

We had a gang of those knuckleheads near us awhile back. They all parroted the usual "Freeman" malarky about drivers licenses, bank notes, and weoponry. They also, at least a few of them, registered their vehicles down in the caribbean someplace.....can't remember the reasoning behind that, but remember one of them saying the state "title" to the vehicle was not valid because it said "Certificate of Title" on it instead of "Title". They were convinced the state had every intention of using that as an excuse to gather in the peoples means of transportation, thusly making Sheeple out of the whole mess of us. These people were flakes and had goofy ideas about other things as well.....mostly involving game laws, etc.
