I haven't used an ATM in probably 30 years but I have to wonder how depositing a check via ATM would expose your CC number ???

My bet would be the grocery store is the more probable venue

Skimmers look like the regular card slot that slips over a real one popular at gas stations to copy a persons card info. I traveled a lot this spring so it could of been then I look over every card slot I slip my card into before doing so.

That would seem even more probable to me

Have a niece that last year that stopped at a farm co-op for gas out in the country late at night (likes to give them the business)No body was around and not very well lit. Two days late she bought a couple thousand dollars worth of fine clothes in Europe.

That info must hit the dark web pretty fast before the brakes are put on the cards. Turned off the card and have a new one coming next week no big deal the card is a visa so it痴 covered.

I usually pay cash at restaurants. I don't like letting my card out of sight. A couple quick pictures with a cell phone and what else would they need?

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Don't feel bad Jerry. I had a motel room charged to my card from Santiago, Chile last week! No idea how, but the bank made it right and sent me a new card. Looked the motel up on Google and it looked like a nice place! LOL
