Have you noticed any change?
Here is an observation. Memorial Day weekend was missing the usual radar patrols. Traffic was fast, I’m talking 75+.
Since then the DOT has been all over the place. I don’t know that they can stop enough trucks to make up the revenue short fall.

During the lockdowns here in Minnesota, a LOT of crazies considered our roads to be the salt flats. 100 mph plus wasn't unusual. I was on the road working during that period, an it was common to be passed by cars going so fast they could be barely recognized. Accidents, deaths and arrest records verify this.
Today things have slowed down a bit, but still many more speeders zig zagging through increasing traffic.

Speed limit here is 75. They won't bother with you if you keep it under 85. That’s gotta be almost turnpike road? Here we have cross traffic and folks trying to get out of their driveways. lol

In Greene County, VA LEO's are known for pulling people for going 1 mph over the speed limit. Same here in Sandoval county and the speed limit is 70 in that county.

80 limit here and they pull the same games always in a big hurry to be in the ditch, if it’s black ice in the winter they still drive like it’s summer.

That’s gotta be almost turnpike road? It is. I usually drive about five miles over the posted speed unless it's residential. Some towns will pull you over like others have mentioned. Go three miles over and they'll nail you but that's mostly in residential areas. Try not wearing a seatbelt in southern Maine. That's where their revenue is.

I haven’t noticed any difference in police presence here. Seems to be more road construction this summer. A good thing in my mind. High fuel cost and subsequent reductions in oil production about ten years ago, caused a big revenue loss and our roads show it. Hopefully we get caught up before it starts again

Today things have slowed down a bit, but still many more speeders zig zagging through increasing traffic. There was a story on the news just yesterday about Iowa troopers writing a record number of tickets for speeds in excess of 100 mph. Some stupid people out there.

Not sure why they even post speed limits here??? Left lane I guess is considered the place where only real drivers are allowed. Drive in right lane 5mph over posted and got people blow by you on left. Drive 5-10 over in left got people blow by ya on the right.. I must be getting old and drive like it. I get passed and cussed at no matter what lane I'm in or speed I'm going. Then there are the folks that are scared to drive alone. Don't matter what speed your at in what lane. Got their front bummer on your back bumper, yet won't pass.. Guess their drafting..

Mac I don’t care what lane you are in or how fast you are going, if you are in the way, recognize it and take action to open traffic up, you are the greatest driver that ever got behind the wheel.

The hover clowns are the worst ones they hang in your blind spot driving at the same speed in the left lane so you cannot change lanes then speed up when you need to get over when coming up on a slower moving vehicle ahead of you.
