Duckie1 OP trapper D Joined: Aug 2019 Posts: 289 Michigan	I have a few beaver I would like to get tanned. Can anyone recommend a tannery that puts out a quality product with good turnaround times and fair prices. Thanks

You can have it good or you can have it fast but you, for the most part, can’t have it good AND fast. This time of year, with seasons over and low fur prices, most tanneries are busy. Moyles in Idaho does a very nice job on beaver. Their turnaround time right now is 5-6 months or thereabouts. If you ship pelts to them in December or January the turnaround time is much faster. They do offer a 40 day service, for an additional fee. www.usedtraps.com Please check out my updated inventory of Native American books.

martyd trapper M Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 1,193 IA, WI, ND, IL	I went with sleepy creek in Iowa 4 few years ago. Tanning was good but but raccoons were very stiff. These trannerys get busy and they don’t want to take the time to drum the pelts soft. Make sure you tell who every go with in writing I want pelts back soft.
