100 feet needed 50 foot on each side of the house with 2 simple downspouts $800 seems like twice what it’s worth? It took the guy 5 minutes to figure it out for 100 feet of gutters and 2 simple downspouts and he does this every day seems fishy to me.

Around here that would be a deal. I've seen jobs here like that go for $4-5k for about the same footage on a two story house. Height has a big factor in price too.
I've seen gutter cleaning companies charge $300+ just to clean a pair of gutter runs here.

Austin and San Antonio the going rate for 4 or 5 inch aluminum is 6.76 / ft. To price these I usually add a ft for every bend, end cap, or soldered seam. As far as them possibly including haul off and dump fees that is where you should balk b/c they save and sell the scrap.

I’ll take the old ones down and use them on my fur shed, then I’ll paint behind where the gutters are going up if they lower the price if not I will just seal them up and add some drip moldings to hit the gutters better with what I have now. Just thought the seamless would be better but $800 I’d nuts if I can do it myself.

Talked to the wife she has no problem spending the $800 plus but not me, I’ll reseal them. Then I’ll add the drip moldings and call it good nothing wrong with the ones we have now I’m not paying that crazy price when I know that’s way to much.

Seamless made from coil stock are a lot thinner than Alcoa. Alcoa to 33'. Alcoa out last coil if you know how to seam them. This and comp ins differs in other areas I'm sure.

I have newer larger size steel gutters up now in great shape, I painted the eves and put treated lumber behind them not that long ago I can get things in ship shape for $100 so paying $700 over that won’t work for me. The seamless would look nice but not that nice them seams don’t bother me.
I think back to when the whole seamless thing started and a lot of guys were doing it they did it for a song back then but the competition has thinned over the years.

with seamless youll have a truck and trailer, one guy running out the gutter sections, and at least 2 installers. if its a 5 hour job, theres 15 man hours, at maybe 30.00/hour, so 450.00 in labor costs to the company. that leaves another 350.00 to cover cost of the truck, trailer, machinery, and material costs are through the roof now. 800.00 is really cheap. if youve already rebuilt the facia and the current gutters are fine, why look at seamless?

Interesting fact; the founder of the company I get my aluminum products from invented the seamless gutter machine.
Lawdog, $800.00 for 100' of seamless 5"K plus downspouts would be a pretty darn good deal around here.
Eh...wot?
