Any trapperman folks live near that area? I will be heading that way for work in about a week. Will be staying for two weeks.

I am too lazy to look it up but hopefully it is close to Whitehall. Go out and use a batt to knock on hard woods see if a bigfoot will come hang out

The stripers are running in the river right now. Get a "marine" endorsement on your license.

No where near Whitehall But home to a very densely packed prison, real wonderful group in there.
I do not recognize the biden/harris administration as legal

The area is pretty fast paced. You're not in NYC, but you're in Downstate, despite what the locals say....Anyway, you'll be impressed by the size of the Hudson River and some of the views. If you are up north of Poughkeepsie, try the Eveready Diner and save room for pie...If you are going out for pizza, don't go to the Hut or Dominos or any other chain...find a good, local pizza shop and get a NYC style pie. Don't know why, but the closer you get to the city, the better the pizza is...If you are working or hanging outside, watch for deer ticks. I strongly suggest that you spray your clothes with Sawyers or some other tick killer or repellent

Thanks for the info. I do flooring measures for Home Depot. I will be measuring 10-12 homes, condos, businesses, etc. each day for various flooring products. If it's anything like here, I will get to see a fairly extensive amount of real estate but I won't be tramping through any forests or creeks.

I still remember the first time see/crossing the Hudson. Incredibly beautiful. The whole Hudson Valley is amazing to me.

Ahhh... Fishkill, NY.
A couple of years ago a bunch of animal rights kooks tried to convince the town leaders to change the name of the town to 'Fishsave' . They were politely informed the name came from the Dutch settlers there who used the Dutch word 'kill' meaning lake. Hence , Cobbleskill , Peakskill and more.
The animal rights kooks left with their proverbial tail between their legs.
