Charles,we are north--last 8 days have all been in the 90's--97 or 99 yesterday.Record heat most of those days.
Got the ac running--set at 76 so its around 78 in the house, but it feels a whole lot better than outside.

I was in Duluth today Tom, 49 degrees, wind blasting in off the lake. Felt wonderful.

It even felt pretty good this morning with cloud cover, but once that sun broke out--it turned nasty again.
49 sounds real good.

I got to use and abuse my lovely assistant adjuster today since I am under doctors orders to not lift more than 10 pounds but ya all ought to have spent the afternoon inspecting galvanized roofing with me in Austin. Wow, the heat alone will kick yer butt cheeks up over your ear lobs!

There is no way I am skimpin on the AC bill right now!

we rarely use the A/C, in even this 80-90 degree heat.
we open the windows after sundown, the house ends up at about 72-76 in the morning.
we close all the windows at about 7-8 in the morning as it starts to heat up.
The temp in the house usually rises about 2-4 degrees at most.
The warmest its been in the house is 78 so far this year.

I know others that turn on their A/C in May and run it all summer long.
I prefer the fresh cool night time air rather than stale A/C air.

Fresh nightime air has been non-existant during this heatwave.Temps of 80 degrees at 2 or 3 in the morning and the humidity ,leave little relief without AC.

Just think, the first day of Summer isn’t until the 20th, lol. We have an automatic thermostat with our alarm system. It stays set at 67-72. Gets below 67 and the heat comes on. Gets above 72 and the AC comes on. The heat probably won’t come on until November.

I still get by without an air conditioner. I like my ceiling fan though.

I have had my AC on since early April. Its gets above 65* I turn it on, if the house is 70* I can't sleep. Electric bill isn't bad. I could use some more insulation in the house though.

Had a fire in stove last couple days. Don't own air conditioner for house. Vehicles have it.

Hey, during the summer, it feels mighty good if we can get the temp in the house down to 85F! Most of the time its 90sF in the house, and at the lowest, high 70s or low 80s at night.

No AC.
its 84 here by the computer.
If you have a fan on you it ain't bad,
Windows open and ceiling fan above bed at night is sometimes too cool.
This is country living.
Wouldn't do this in town.
