I have not tried food lure, that is if you are referring to commercial lures. Is it something you use for a special situation or just a standard?

Yes with a trench dug a little longer to the food source/ lure. A couple peeled sticks with the lure on it. I would do the same thing with castor during fall/winter and a 330

6 more months might worth $5 more!!!!! It’s already a $50 beaver and I ain’t even caught it yet. lol Well for that I would probably trap him. You can still harvest the castor. Baited set set with a foothold and drowner.
