I’ve been having my fur tanned for a couple seasons until I had enough to make a blanket. I did all the sewing myself and think it came out pretty well for my first time. If anybody has questions feel free to ask or shoot me a PM.

It’s a really soft flannel. There is a layer of padding that’s like 1” thick between the layers as well

I was able to use a sewing machine on most of it, it still took a long time but I can’t imagine doing it all by hand

If you don't mind the question...what type of sewing machine did you use? Commercial of some sort? Thanks.

Just the one that my mom had around. I just put leather sewing needles in it. She gave me a 20 minute lesson on using it and it went great. I’m sure the playability and thickness of the leather would make a difference in how well it worked.
