Apparently ther is a shortage on fireworks this year. Hopefully prices didn't explode into sky high territory.

Our favorite fireworks stand posted there's a shortage of fireworks this year so some normal specials won't happen.

Prices are up 20%…luckily I bought enough for several years this past winter before all this BS happened!

Maybe because BLM and the other "mostly peaceful" rioters bought them up to shoot at the police???

Theres nothing more American than blowing up stuff made in a Chinese sweat shop! I never understood the appeal I guess.

I haven't had to buy them in years. I have a few buddies that are obsessed with fireworks.

I provide the venue and they show up with a trailer loaded with thousands of dollars of big fireworks. I don't understand literally burning up that kind of money but it's their call and it's fun to watch.

The horses hate it and the chickens stop laying for a day or two but those guys put on a heck of a show.

Dang. We were gonna go over to Missouri next weekend, now I'll have to make time this weekend. I love fireworks, independence day is my absolute favorite holiday.

It’s probably due to the Southern States. It seems if it’s a holiday we shoot off fireworks. Of course Independence Day and New Years Eve top the list, but I’ve heard and seen them on all the other holidays as well, lol. I have a buddy that just celebrated Flag Day with fireworks. Last night was rainy so he couldn’t get his Fathers Day boom going, but said if it clears by this evening he’s planning on sending up some Boom to all the Dad’s.

Aside from playing with the cheap stuff as a kid, I don't see the attraction of blowing up perfectly good money.
We got the fireworks bug guys here too, pro grade stuff that costs a bundle....It's got to the point that every weekend in the summer there fireworks going off somewhere.
Luckily, the dog that freaks out over it has gone mostly deaf... cool

I don't plan to spend too much. Getting a round of things that bang can be expensive.
2 places I go to usually have great deals and your money can go a long way.

I don't care much for them myself. After all the fireworks shows I helped put on, it kinda lost it's awe factor. I've got some stories, some good and some not so good.
The grandkids like them, so grandma buys some every year and has a little show for them.

We try not to spend over $500 on ours. Of course the neighbors all buy some too and we have several grills going with hotdogs and hamburgers and homemade ice cream. It’s for whoever wants to come and partake of it. I live in a little rural community and everyone knows beforehand so they can lock up their pets or take a drive into town if they want. Before it was legal, we’d notify the Sheriffs Dept so they could go ahead and issue our tickets, lol. One deputy showed up, got a hotdog and ice cream to go and told us he’d most likely be in the north part of the County until about 10:00pm. He said when he came back through he hopes he doesn’t hear or see anything.

I never understood the appeal.

I know 3 different families that that spend $1000-$1500 every year. Their kids don't have shoes and they are on assistance, but come H-or high water there's enough money to by fireworks.

I dont understand it either and see it as a sign of hope for some less disruptive summer evenings this year. That said, i will, for the first time in decades, buy some to show for my daughter. Guess i just got that out of my system earlier in life.

When I was a kid, I loved blowing stuff up. I haven't wasted any money on fireworks in probably 15 years. Don't care about going to town to watch the big show either. I don't care how anybody else spends their money, it just doesn't interest me at all anymore

I think "shortage" has become the new marketing ploy, replacing the old going out of business sale.
