I have tried a bunch of different types in the past 15 years but they still only last a year. I am on construction sites most of the year. My feet are also narrow. Anyone found any to last and are comfortable?

I’ve went through umpteen different boots in my job and so far Keen has fit and felt the best for me. Had these about a year now and still good treads and all the seams are holding up just fine.

I was in the same situation as you. My work boots lasted about a year no matter what brand or how much I spent. Then I bought my first pair of Red Wings and was done with that crap. I now get a minimum of three years out of a pair.

I work residential construction and wear the Red Wing 402 in warm weather. There is a break-in period for new ones. I keep my old pair until the new ones are broken in and comfortable to wear. This takes 40-60 hours. After that they are comfortable for years.

I wear the Red Wing model 1411 in cold weather. They're insulated and water resistant.

Both models get glued on Gorilla Tips, a tough plastic toe protector. I spend a lot of time on my knees on abrasive surfaces (concrete, roofs, etc.) that would abrade holes in the leather toes otherwise.

Both these models are still made in the USA and I've been buying them for decades.

I highly recommend them.

Eh...wot?

When I was working on concrete long days I broke down and bought a pair of Redwings- they were awesome for that

Wolverine DURASHOK no comparison. Even come with thinsulate if you work out side. I wore the I-90 model that is water proof and 400 grams of thinsulate when I ran sewer plants. The trappuer model has up to 800 grams

I have a pair of Caterpillar boots I bought a few years ago. They are not steel toe but they wear like iron and are as comfortable a boot as I've ever owned.

As a machinist, I bought many pairs of good/expensive boots and many pairs of "Blue Light Specials". None of them lasted long walking around on razor sharp chips. The soles would be gone in 8-9 months, cheaper to buy another pair as to re-sole them.
