European honey bees are truly amazing. A bug with a memory. Queens can live for a few years. Survive -35 and colder temps.

That's all honey in those combs.

amazing how they can fill up an empty hive box. There is a lot of honey in that box. If it is all capped probably best to leave it till , they take some honey off. bees will take good care of it Picked up a swarm yesterday, they are nuced up and seem happy. Our honey flow is getting going, strong now.

Every bee keeper has done something similar and regretted it. Yeah they are amazing little creatures.

The honey can be had easy enough; not spun in an extractor, but added to the decapping tank...However, to your question - had all this structure been on frames, the bees would have drawn comb to work with for the next honey flow. The most energy a bee colony expends is in creating the comb...All that work will be lost...
