Almost always DOA, I figure they are one of those that has to keep moving to get water over the gills or some other sort of reason they die quickly on a fixed hook. But come heat of the summer it was nothing to find them stacked up like cordwood in the back end of sloughs just hanging out just under the surface.

They measured 7'8", 8'3", and 6'8" supposedly. Pretty impressive. Should make your 100 pound mark I would think. I saw this posted on Facebook I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Shoot a big 10 point buck, or one of these big fish.............hands down, I'd rather catch one of them the size of these.....rod/reel or arrow.

Savell "Wilbur" Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 9,078 Coldspring Texas	Not in Texas ... we went from no limit to one a day ... dang gar everywhere now ... they need to be killed out a lot .... gear wrecking catfish killing pieces of crap lol .. next time I run lines I’ll try to remember to take some pics of what they do to 6 lb catfish ... they just leave a head with a shredded mess behind it on the hook. Losing quite a few to them last couple years Insert profound nonsense here
