What I want to know is, at what point in time did our elected officials, of a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, find it acceptable to dictate unto us the way we make decisions for ourselves. Better yet, why are people ok with this?

And the next minute he is trying to convince us that it would take F-15's and nuclear weapons to accomplish that same task!

Big Joe is correct in that people who want to overthrow the government need to make the decision to equip and organize themselves to fight against their own armed forces.
And the US armed forces,like a lot of other professional armies is powerful materially but has been shown to be quite impotent when going up against a grassroots guerilla army fighting for a cause as opposed to a paycheque.
