Great Grandfather and his brother on my dads side served in the Civil War. My dad and 3 of his brothers served. Two in Nam, one in the tweener of Korea and Nam, and my dad during Cuba. I served during Desert Storm. All my male cousins on my moms side of the family (6 of us) served in some capacity and 1 female cousin. My moms uncle served during WWII, and Korea. He was a full bird and got assigned to the Pentagon during Nam. He helped improve upon the D-ring designs in parachutes. While in the Pentagon he was tapped by NASA to be on a team developing the chute system for the mission to the moon. I'm trying to get a hold of the pictures he has from the ship sent to recover the astronauts when they splashed down after the lunar landing.
I'm not sure if there are any further back than the 2 that served during the Civil War. There are family stories of a couple the fought in the Revolutionary War. Nothing can be totally confirmed though.
