How can you get rid of that stuff? Haven't been pruning in an effort to stay away from it. The Cherokee Purple are getting it the worst it seems. Been eyeballing a mesh tarp but they are right proud of them.

I have only seen sunscald after septoria leaf spot took most of the leaves. The canopy needs to be maintained. I use Fungonil.. Sound like you are up against it, lol

Our plants totally aren't as bushy as tomatoes normally are, but I've been monitoring the plants daily and I'm 99% positive they didn't have leaf spot or any other diseases.

I had to trim a few plants pretty hard due to blight. I've been throwing a sheet over those. Working okay so far.

You need to get som manure in there, to get the leaf matter over grown, lol...too much light in there I suppose, too much heat perhaps too.
My plants are a foot tall or better and have all branched once, real thick stalked and dense, not getting tall quick, but normal for here. Just flowering in the last week. Alot of leaf.

Whats the plastic for-so you dont have to hoe weeds all the time?

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Yes. And it also helps to retain moisture in the soil better. Down here in the deep south, keeping stuff adequately watered is a chore. This is the first year I've tried the plastic.

I've always had the sunburn problem too. Partial shade is the only thing I could think of.
