Lots of good ones out there.

I bought a Ruger mkii on impulse about 25 years ago. 6" bull adjustable sights gov't model. Shoots way better than I can for sure and works flawlessly.

Revolver fan here-a 1970's vintage Smith and Wesson model 17 with 6 inch barrel. The rosewood grips don't make it shoot any better but hey sure look good on it.

I have 3. A Smith Model 17 and Model 14, both full target and a Model 41 with a 5 1/2 inch heavy barrel. All three are serious squirrel shooters. I've put bushels of squirrels and a good number of rabbits in the pot with the 41.

I liked the first Browning Buckmark .22 so much I bought a spare. I'd rather shoot this gun vs any other handgun I have. I also use it for my trapping gun. As long as you have oil on the slide it'll cycle no matter how dirty it is and far more accurate than anything else I own.

And no need to buy a spendy model. My "camper" models is just as good as the more spendy ones.

Pro Tip: Get the Hi Viz sights....or they are cheap to order and install yourself.

This is better than good…it’s Great…K22 Masterpiece…tack driving som gun. Had a 1960 and 1957 6 inch barrel …but the canoe tipped over and we lost them. [Linked Image]

You won’t be disappointed by Smith & Wesson
