I'm considering buying a tonneau cover for my truck, and am seeking opinions on which make or style is best. Please share any experience ,good or bad you may have had. Thanks.

I have this one...It has been great so far. Easy to install, and no problems yet. I have only had it on about three months but am pleased so far.

What is a tonneau and why do I have to cover it up?

Diamond back are awesome! Son has one on his Tacoma pro. I have the ridge lander on my Tacoma off-road, which serves me well !

I've been running them for the past 20 years or so and have tried most types. IMO (see links below) #1 is the best for keeping things 100% dry inside the bed. #2 will allow a little water in but it is the style that works best for me. When trapping i generally keep it rolled up out of the way.

Prior to my current truck I always had a lund or leer hard tonneau with the shocks to raise it. They were great for traveling but terrible to remove.

I went with the Under Cover Armor Flex hard trifold and absolutely love it. It is coated with spray on bed liner material and after 16 months it still looks like new. It is easy to fold up and stable on the props for when I need to haul stuff with it up.

My biggest requirement is that I needed to be able to completely remove/install it myself. It installs and removes easy in 5 minutes. It is also light enough for me to carry folded.

I bought mine through Tonneaucovered.com

One thing I do not like about the Under Cover Armor Flex is that it does not lock. It latches underneath and relies on you to have a locking tailgate to prevent access to raising it.

Solid fold extang I've had 3 . Just lock the tailgate and it secure. The cloth covers a knife and they are in.

I like my Truxedo. Have had 4 or 5 different brands through the years, this is the best.

Patriot hard cover here...no complaints. Had to replace a strut last year after 8 years. It was inexpensive and easy to replace so I cant complain. There are times that a topper would be nice, but most times i like what i have. I would not want to be taking it on and off very often as it is hefty.

I have a 4 panel Fold-a-Cover on my 2007 Ram and it has worked well for me. The front panel folds back to allow access to whatever is stored in the very front of the bed. The rear most cover folds up with the next two and lays on the front panel to allow access to everything else. As long as the hinge seals are good it is watertight. The seals needed replacing after about 4 years when I parked it out in the sun at work. I retired in late 2010 and rebuilt the seals in 2011 with a kit from the company that cost about $100. With the truck in my garage when not in use since then the seals are still good 10 years later.

I like the locking feature for the security it provides over a cloth cover. I like the unobstructed visibility it provides while keeping everything dry. I like that I can fold it, climb in and stand up in the back. I liked the price better than the fiberglass cover. At times I could use the extra 4-5 inches of height one of the hinged fiberglass covers gives while also not obstructing the view.

Best is what best suits your needs.

Had a 1000.00 dollar flip style cover on my tundra. Leaked terrible and had it in a couple of times for them to fix it. Still leaked bad. Returned it and got a 300.00 truxedo. Doesn’t leak.

I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.

I have a gator soft tri fold on my pickup and love it, can put it on and take it off by myself in less than 5 minutes, my only complaint is that folded up the whole way it still isn't quite far enough forward for my to be able to hook up to my gooseneck. Other than that, it keeps the bed dry and works flawlessly
