John I live in the country and don't have many close neighbors which is why I selected this farm to build our business here. When I am working skunk pods draining and grinding I would think most don't know where it is coming from. It rises and drifts away nicely.
Lots of trees, wooded areas with hills and valleys in my area so most odors drift away. We do have billions of flies that come from miles around when we are cooking large batches of product, especially making fish oil.
We get lots of air flight from Vultures circling looking down searching for what smells so good. If you want to attract buzzards and everything else that is interested just dump out some fish sludge leftovers from fish oil batches.
Jerry I looked for years to even find a dealer who sells them locally. Most I found were sold out of state and I would have to pay to have them delivered on top of the container price. The condition of the containers varied greatly.
Some were beat up pretty bad for the 8 x 20 ft. size. The rusty and beat ones were around $2900.00 the best ones were $4850. Had I purchased last fall when I found some I could have saved $1000. They have price increases each year. Most come from the port areas from our Eastern shore. I was looking at one 8 x 40 ft. it was $7800. Excellent condition and had doors on both ends of the container. I should have gotten that one looking back now.
I really didn't have a roadway access at the rear of the unit where we were going to place it by our main shop. So I opted for the single door smaller unit.
