I have been working on this set up for several years. As the saying goes, better late then never. I finally found a near new one-way cargo container this spring. Mfg. in Feb of 2021. It will surely last well past my lifetime and will be there for others that follow me.

These units seem well constructed and can be secured very well if needed. I doubt anyone would want to break in and take what I have cooking inside. sick

I got one before pricing on these newer one-way containers had another price increase which I was told is coming again this August once again. I have needed a large dedicated area and/or another building for volume of aging materials and an oven type set up in half of the unit..

Now I have my cooking area completed I can begin loading buckets 100 > 225 + at a time if needed. We never had enough room in our facility for large capacity separate controlled heated environment. We can cook year round now if needed. A couple photos of my set up and cook box interior. When I get a batch of buckets working I will post some of them in the oven.

What’s a container cost I’ve been looking around for a couple or maybe a old grain bin to fix up into a work area.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

John I live in the country and don't have many close neighbors which is why I selected this farm to build our business here. When I am working skunk pods draining and grinding I would think most don't know where it is coming from. It rises and drifts away nicely. wink

Lots of trees, wooded areas with hills and valleys in my area so most odors drift away. We do have billions of flies that come from miles around when we are cooking large batches of product, especially making fish oil.

We get lots of air flight from Vultures circling looking down searching for what smells so good. If you want to attract buzzards and everything else that is interested just dump out some fish sludge leftovers from fish oil batches.

Jerry I looked for years to even find a dealer who sells them locally. Most I found were sold out of state and I would have to pay to have them delivered on top of the container price. The condition of the containers varied greatly.

Some were beat up pretty bad for the 8 x 20 ft. size. The rusty and beat ones were around $2900.00 the best ones were $4850. Had I purchased last fall when I found some I could have saved $1000. They have price increases each year. Most come from the port areas from our Eastern shore. I was looking at one 8 x 40 ft. it was $7800. Excellent condition and had doors on both ends of the container. I should have gotten that one looking back now.

I really didn't have a roadway access at the rear of the unit where we were going to place it by our main shop. So I opted for the single door smaller unit.

If you live near a military base occasionally they sell containers on bid. Our town bot a 8 x 24 a few years ago to store small summer equipment. Lawnmowers, weed walkers ect. Doors only at one end. Good shape.
Around $500.

But the thought of Sully gagging over cleaning coyote anal glands still make me giggle.

Bob, it's easy to see you don't cut corners. Nice set up.

Nice. It sure does not take long to need more room.
