Dunno, but I do know the state wishes they weren't there. They caught and chipped 100 and turned them loose, then followed the chip signals to find the hidey holes to catch more. There is at one guy on Youtube that gets paid by the state to catch them but I don't think there's a bounty or anything yet. They say wildlife like coons in the Everglades is practically nonexistent since the python took over.

Wonder how they taste? Anybody eat them? We ate python. The flavor was good. It reminded me of mild fish and chicken. It was very chewy, which may have been because of how my brother cooked it. Keith

I am far from in the know on anything Florida but I think any predator loves the fawns. I'd be surprised if there is an exception to that rule.

LL the trouble I was referring to was from the game and fish. They are pretty proud of their threatened and endangered species. I do believe the response may be to little to late. Sad to say.
