The guy died of cancer in 2014. He was just the developer that built it. The condo association was actually the owners. I was going to suggest that Gary get a job as an internet reporter. Strike that idea.

Eh...wot?

So somebody decided it was necessary to take down what was left of the building. So what happened to the belongings of the tenants? Did somebody go in and remove all the clothes, furniture, papers and documents? And who stands the loss of the building?
If there was a decent journalist left in the country, we wouldn't have to wonder.
I have no idea but I'm sure the decision was made that the risk of entering the structure to remove the contents was to great due to possible instability. Also there was the possibility of a hurricane passing nearby. They were already getting to the point where first responders working the pile couldn't go much further as they had removed the rubble of the upper four to five floors and some of that rubble was supporting the standing structure.
