Even though it's 90 out I made blueberry jam today. Even put a deer roast in the slow cooker with fresh garden Kholarobi ,garlic, onions zucchini and a can of diced tomatoes. Now I need to clean up my mess before the wife gets home.

And pickle time

It is getting close here too, as I am waiting on the raspberries. The strawberries, rhubarb and tart cherries are ready as is the maple syrup.

My raspberries were small to medium in size but very plentiful. In the last week, I’ve picked just shy of 2800 out of my backyard berry patch. Other than what went with bowls of kool-whip and cereal, the rest will go to jam when I get the time. Until then, my coon baits have to share space with them in the chest freezer.

I looks like the three grape vines are going to have a nice crop, so I will put some mixes together later in the fall when they are ripe. Always a challenge to figure out how much rhubarb one needs to add to the other berries to give the jam some kick but not both barrels.
