As a young single man I went camping on an abandoned beach on the Costa Rican Carribbean. On the bus ride there two beautiful Norwegian gals didn't have the proper change for the bus ride so as a gentleman I paid it for them. Just a couple of dollars.
I didn't have a tent or sleeping bag they noticed (which they did) so as we hiked in to the beach they asked if I would like to stay in their two-man pup tent with them.
.................I said Nah, that's OK I'll be fine. I figured they were just being nice since I paid their bus fare. I think you won this thread..... What Is Wrong With You? That is pretty bad. I think I got it beat. Working security at a casino. I see people in a car in the valet parking. I approach the car & it's 3 beautiful ladies starting to have fun. I do the normal questioning stuff they keep insisting I join in on the fun. I tell them we're on surveillance. They invite me to the hotel down the road right away. Told them I'm 3 hours into a 10hr shift. They left . Both surveillance and 2 of my bosses told me I'm an idiot for not going.

Drained the oil out of a truck engine, then got busy greasing parts and other maintenance. Started the truck to make sure a fitting was getting grease to the part that needed lubricated. After a couple minutes the engine seized up. Took the injector pump, air compressor, turbo, etc etc etc. $30k later it was fixed. This one right here is why I'm keeping my mouth shut... Dang Gary, you don't need to share everything. Surely you have a lesser dumb thing to share.

Gosh where to start? My wife told me one time early on in our marriage that she didn't want anything for her birthday, and I thought she meant it. Still hearing about that one decades later.
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

When my son became of age I told him this story. He hung his head and with a pleading look asked if maybe he was adopted? I've done plenty of dumb things over the years, but this was dumb for what i didn't do I guess.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

It's not the dumbest thing I've done, but it's pretty dumb.
I was a freshman in college and I and a bunch of other guys from my floor were playing tackle football against a bunch of freshman girls. There was around 2 girls playing for every guy, around 15 girls and 7 guys total. On the first play of the game, I rushed the quarterback. I easily pushed through the 3 girls who tried to block me and scooped, Heidi, the quarterback up into a sort of fireman's carry. I was a bit tipsy. We all probably were. I'm standing there holding Heidi in 2 arms chest high and she's squirming trying to break free and throw the ball. John, one of the guy's on my team starts yelling "You have to down her." I am clueless to what he means. 2 other girls start trying to break Heidi loose. I lift up Heidi higher to break her loose from the other 2 girls. Again, John yells "You have to down her." I ask "What?" John says "Just drop her" and I did. Heidi falls from head height and has the air knocked out of her. Several people, at that time, start saying things like "He body slammed her, Keith body slammed her. Keith body slammed Heidi."
Fortunately Heidi was okay after a few minutes.
On the very next play of the game. I am staying back and another girl comes running towards me with the ball. I sweep her up with my right arm and lift her up too. John starts yelling "Don't slam her! Don't slam her! I very carefully lay her flat on the ground like I'm putting her to bed. I caught one more girl after that and did the same thing.
