Anyone have a copy of an annual trapping contract they are willing to share?

Starting a beaver job soon and landowner asked if I was interested in doing the beaver job on an annual contract. I said...Absolutely.

I have never setup beaver jobs like on annual basis, but I favor the idea and might start promoting this more to larger landowners. I have always priced by the job based on a 10 day minimum run.

What would you nuisance beaver trappers charge for an ANNUAL base contract to monitor and trap the beaver on a single property? Or multiple properties owned by same landowner?

Are they established locations?

As in you know which beaver ponds will be worked, or are you asking about an annual contract to cover whatever comes up across unknown acreage and locations?

Just curious...

I would think a person could say something like all established colonies can be trapped at $xxxx. Locations that singles or pairs move into the following year can be trapped at 1/2 or 3/4 the amount of the colony? I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to cover

Known locations that will be initially trapped for about 10 days. Then, at regular intervals (maybe once every 3 months) throughout the next 12 months, I will visit the property and look for fresh beaver sign...and set for them again....if needed. If not, I will likely trap initially...then one more time again this winter. The landowner wants me to monitor them amd keep em in check.

This property (about 300 acres total) has a small lake ( about 20 acres) that borders a large swampy creek and has an influx of beavers, especially during periods of high water.

I have a few other much larger landowners that would probably prefer this setup so they can just let me monitor their beaver situation and trap when I see the need.

Payment will be made annually and I would monitor their beaver situation for 12 months at a time....amd trap as I see fit.....hence the annual contract.

Service Agreement may be a better name for what I'd like to see.

Is the property a long drive for you? Hard to access? Those factor in.

No...20 min.

I know what I will charge. I was wanting to see a copy of someone's annual contract or service agreement so I may include something I have overlooked.

Would like to know what some would charge for an annual agreement like this.

Why wont your current contract or pricing models work?

A single annual payment could be an issue unless collected at the beginning. For cash flow reasons, both yours and theirs, you may want to get paid more often.

Quarterly payments would probably be reasonable.

My current pricing model would work, but why turn down a landowner wanting to pay me more $$$ and sign a year-long beaver control contract???
Im getting paid up front for a year's service agreement. I would like to see someone's service agreement as to what they include in it so I don't leave something inportant out.

Again...I need some info about the actual written service agreement....want to see the wording of it.

Ive got a good idea what I'm charging.....and how and why.

Just want to make sure I include (in writing) what I need to for a year's contracted beaver control.

I hear what your asking for Swamp Wolf........

I do not have one for an annual service but off the top of my head, would stipulate the minimum inspection visits and timelines you will be carrying out. Would keep some sort of log of where and when you did your inspection to show the client if requested. Disclaimer in the contract that you will manage beaver as required but are not responsible for any damage caused by said beaver.

The contract should cover work up to a certain quantity of day, then Include a clause for extra payment for extra work. Adjust for fairness.

As I have suggested to many guys on here - don’t be penny wise and dollar foolish. Find a good lawyer and hire him to make contracts for you that are valid and enforceable in your jurisdiction. You will come out way ahead on the deal.

It is foolish to do work, then ask for payment. Make sure that they must be paying one month in advance. If they default, you suspend services.
