What saw on Alone are they using

The guy on Alone who shot the deer...what saw was he using to build that smokehouse.

Long 2 ft blade or more. Long straight handle. Looks like a Saw a Guy Needs!

Something like this?

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Japanese...45d1d9639c0f4dd3b9e7b5a&gclsrc=3p.ds

Not 2 feet but there is a bunch of brands and sizes out there.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Clay Hayes took the Silky "KatanaBoy 650" saw up there. They are about $300.

Everything silky makes is top quality, just sucks to lose the saws. Used them for years and switched to cheaper brand when I got employees.

I'll second that motion.
( and wives are included)
you just have to remember where the last branch was cut and retrieve before the rain.

I've got a smaller version, the Silky Gomboy 240 (240mm blade). They cut amazingly fast with the double row of teeth and are unlikely to bind because of the wide kerf they cut. It's a very handy tool both at home and in the woods. The 240 goes for about $50.
