Watching the MN Twins games the last week,82 year old Jim Kaat is one of the announcers. You sure wouldn't think he was anywhere near 82. What a joy to hear the stories he tells and the knowledge of baseball he has. But then I guess after pitching in the majors for 25 years has something to do with it. Listenig to him ,brings back childhood memories of his time with the twins. Tom

I remember him when he pitched for the Phillies. I heard he is being considered for the HOF, I hope he makes it.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

16 gold gloves--he also could hit. Pretty amazing to be so active at 82,and such a good announcer. He should be in the hall of fame. Tom

A few years back and even up until he died, Ernie Harwell announced for the Tigers. The stories he could tell and express. Love listening to the historical recall.
