Sounds like Cuba is ripe for our United States dictators to step in and assume control. I bet the Cuban Citizens could be bribed with much smaller stimulous checks and child payments.

Absolutely not! We have a somewhat checkered history in Cuba and should not directly intervene. However, should the Cuban people ask for support we should within reason provide support. Ultimately the Cuban people must win their freedom and decide their destiny for themselves.

Socialist country, Dems will probably want them to be our 51st state.

I would think solid republican demographic. Most immigrants from socialist states know the difference.

We should offer guidance if asked. Russia had an interest in Cuba in the 60s. We don't want that to happen again.

Warrior, That was sarcasm, the use of irony to mock or convey contempt. I actually do not condone the use of bribery on our citizens or theirs, no matter how effective it seems to be.

Long term outlook on U.S interventions in Latin American countries is not so good, need to let the Cubans sort this out themselves.

Absolutely, I'm okay with humanitarian aid such as food and medicine. Possibly just enough force to prevent the Castros from killing folks but the boots on the ground has to be the Cubans themselves.

We have stuck our nose in worse places. If we do go in we need to go in to win and make it a democracy. Not half commies or socialism.

I'm sure if Cubans became US citizens they would not vote socialist. We need more anti-left wing people voting.

A political demonstration at the US Capitol building on January 6 is being treated an an insurrection and called treason, with people headed to prison. No one from Cuba tried to step in and provide assistance or support to the demonstrators.

But now, lots of people in the US are calling for support and assistance to people participating in civil unrest and antigovernment activity in Cuba.

What shoe changed? The people calling Jan 6 an insurrection are not about to support the Cuban protestors. Most of the people calling for the Jan 6 commission wear Che shirts. Che would of killed all those protestors this weekend. Or at least the leaders of it.
