Is it customary to tip delivery drivers?

Danny I know you deliver stone, does it happen very often?

I had a boss that tipped redi mix drivers

if we had to wheel barrow it far no tip or if the guy sat in his truck and watched us no tip

if they would work with us and put on the extra chute and get it really close if not right where we needed it he got a tip I saw money move but not exactly how much I was way to busy running the float to do any more than look up a second

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

If in a bar ordering a mixed drink , tip the bartender before they pour your drink. They can't add extra alcohol if you tip them after they mix the drink.

Ask me how I know this...... crazy

I dont tip anyone automatically.
I tip waitresses if they are on the ball and attentive.
I dont tip someone for just doing their job.
I believe a tip is warranted if someone goes "above and beyond".

The garbage men get a cold drink on a hot day
Boco when those waitress tips over and she gets my attention
That second cup of coffee and the third refill get a 20%er tip

One of those girls got injured and fought compensation because they were only using her base rate, her income tax records indicated she was making 80K not 30K a year, took a year in the courts to settle

Crager, you could tell them.... I'm a generous tipper especially if you're generous. I've always tipped after the first round additional rounds were always stronger unless the bartender knew me then every drink was always strong.

Ups FedEx, if I see them delivering I offer them a drink.
Waiters waitress always tip a minimum of 15% for bad service. For terrible service no tip. Average service 20% that's their income. Most of the time it's not their fault for being handed extra tables or food mistakes.

hobbie i have gotten extra compensation for working late. i guess you could call that a tip. usually happens doing flood relief for the rail road when weight limits and hours of service have been set aside by the governor.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I would say that is more in line with plowing snow and salting roads, well paid but not really a tip.

I have a surprisingly large number of people tip me when buying birds. They usually say it's for giving them great information. I get tipped probably 6 to 10 times a month. I have had people give me $40.00 when buying as low as $20.00 worth of quail. I have repeat customers that give me wine and in the case of some of my foreign customers, who own stores, imported food and candy. My Santos and Santaria customers usually tip me everytime they come too.

Iv had great service by tipping the waitress half at the beginning of the meal.
I tell her here’s half now and the rest when I’m done, always say- don’t forget me or us.
Always excellent service.
So many people don’t tip a waitress , it’s sad
They bust their butt to wait on people, most are hard working single moms that can only work at those jobs because
Of their kids. They need a flexible schedule.
