Has anyone else been to see the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC.? I went once. I would like to go again someday. It's a little on the pricey side. $24.99 if you pay @ the door. They give you a discount if you buy tickets online. I would encourage anyone to visit, even if you are not religious.

I've never been to WDC so I've not been to that Museum. Steve Green, Hobby Lobby originator underwrote the museum project which portrays the history of the book that helped shape this world.
Would enjoy seeing it some day.

Blessings,
Mark

DC's actually a pretty nice family trip. We've done it several times. The tourist places, mostly federal property, are well maintained, safe, and convenient. They spend a lot of money on the metro subway system so it's good too. Of course, stay away from 95% of the city but all of the places you want to visit are away from the bad places.

We stay in VA, outside of DC - Usually Arlington. We drive to the nearest metro station in VA every morning, just a couple of miles from the hotel, take the metro into DC and it takes you right in the middle of the big grassy field at "the mall". This is where all the Smithsonian museums, Washington monument ,Lincoln memorial, Vietnam wall, WW2 memorial, Korea memorial, etc are. All together. You can easily spend 3 days there without getting bored. And, it's all free, paid for with tax dollars.

Once, a section of metro track was out. We had to leave the train, get on a buss, get off the buss, and back onto another train. They had 30+ metro employees standing along the walking route from the train to the bus to direct everyone and make sure everyone got to the right place. Well run for a city subway system. I've used the NYC subway a lot and it's night and day different.

If you are interested in espionage, there's an international spy museum in Washington DC. It's private, not government- therefore you have to pay $16 per person. It's quite a ways North of the mall. A lot of people may not know it even exists. I have been to international spy museum and I liked it.
