1-Gallon of vinegar, 1-cup of salt, and 2 tablespoons or 1 oz. of Dawn dish soap. Mix together and apply with a sprayer. Will not harm pets or kids and doesn't take long to work.

I have tried every stupid formula people can come up with. And a lot of the commercial ones too.

Nothing kills grass permanently (well there is some stuff but you have to be licensed) it all comes back.

Dead grass doesn't come back. It's dead.
To prevent new grass from growing you need some sort of soil sterilizer. There's plenty of stuff out there that doesn't take a license.

Roundup binds to the soil and won't wash into your well. I personally wouldn't hesitate to use it. I know you said no chemicals but everything mentioned so far is a chemical - just not one sold commercially as a pesticide.

I would also add in some Surflan to prevent future weeds from growing. Roundup kills what's growing now and Surflan prevents new seeds from germinating for up to a year. Only down side is that surflan has a bright orange marker added and it will take a few rainstorms for that to go away.

Round up in a sprayer diruing hot dry day. It will be gone PLUS if it rains it will leach out through the soil. Like said unless your dumping a 5 gallon bucket or more won't effect the well.

I just buy a box of pickle salt and sprinkle it good between the cracks-It must stay in the ground for a long time,no growth for a year.

Roundup won't kill everything....including a plant that looks like clover.

Propane torch used on a regular basis eventually stops growth of any thing green I've not wanted around my place, quick easy and won't harm only where you point it !!
