More or less a watered down welfare system. Gov will pay ya for popping out kids. I was raised that if you couldn't afford them. Then keep your pants on. Sarge Where’s the fun in that!? Lol Vasectomy. Still the fun, but, no live ammo.

That is a fat bobcat. Nice. I saw a dead one on the shoulder a few days ago. 4 hours later it had disappeared. Summer hair and all. Yes and then next December.... Fur Buyer: "Where'd you get this cat....the fur looks like you caught it at the 4th of July picnic?" Earnest Trapper: "Nope, just caught him Friday night." Fur Buyer: "He's all dehydrated, only weighs a fraction of what he should, Friday night huh?" Earnest Trapper: "Yeah , I don't know...we got a new freezer, maybe it's just really efficient." Fur Buyer: "Well, once they get that dried out they can be impossible to skin. I'll gamble on him for $10." Earnest Trapper: "$10!!!?, ...... but it's a bobcat......my cousin in Montana sold one for $500. You thieving are all the same. Fur Buyer: "OK sir , well thanks for the opportunity to look at him, have a great day."

IT'S NOT EXTRA FREE MONEY PEOPLE. IT'S BEEN AROUND FOR YEARS. INSTEAD OF CLAIMING IT ON YOUR TAXES, THEY ARE DISTRIBUTING IT NOW INSTEAD OF AT TAX TIME.. SO THOSE WHO DONT TURN IT DOWN, WILL GET A SMALLER REFUND!!!!!! DO YOU GET IT NOW????? Rusty I hate taxes! Not the fact that I have to pay them but what the money is used for. Is this the line on your tax form that asks for how many children you have? If so there are some lines under it that take money away for every so many dollars you make over so many dollars. If fact the last few years the fruits of all my labors have started to come to fruit. The gov. took away my wife and I being able to get credit for all our children. A kid costs what a kid costs! In fact I invest a LOT in mine! Our system sucks. I understand helping families in need. But a system where you are rewarded for having a bunch of kids you struggle or do not plan to provide for and then penalizing those who work their rear off so their kids can have a better life is a abomonation (sp)! Also very discouraging! Not aiming at you just adding to the thread.

IF YOU CAN'T FEED THE BABY THEN DON'T HAVE A BABY. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULDN'T BE GIVING ANYONE $3600 PER KID FOR ANY REASON. I KNOW OF WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE HAVING KIDS THEY CANT AFFORD JUST FOR THE FAT PAY CHECK , ONLY TO (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) IT AWAY ON VACATIONS, BIG TVS, 1200 DOLLAR PHONES , AND OTHER CRAP THAT DOESN'T BENEFIT THE CHILD.I GUESS I DON'T UNDERSTAND???? Politicians way of stimulating the economy. Free Free Free Free Free = a bunch of lard arses. Sarge

Well, since they are getting all this money. I will just have to raise my rates when they need a handyman or trapping service. So now, I won't have to hear them say. I don't have that kind of money. Sarge

For all you guys whining about the baby bonus-all you gotta do is adopt a bunch of little urchins from the inner city and cash in.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I also believe a certain percentage should go into a roth Ira and not touched until the child is an adult. Draw out too soon, you get penalized. After all, it's for the kids, RIGHT. Sarge

If I adopted a couple, I could retire sooner. Then about that time my full retirement kicks in. I would be sitting pretty good. Think of all that free labor I could get, plus get paid for it. LOL. Sarge

This is my opinion on this subject. The child tax credit sent out each month will be cash in their pockets to be spent not a credit against their taxes.
I would like to see how much money is spent on this program compared to the PPP program that allowed most farmers, ranchers, to collect over $20,000 each just by going to there local bank and applying. In my little town I added up what the handout from the government was in just this program and it was over a million and a half dollars. Most every farmer got over $20,000, some $40,000 if they applied twice. Multiply this by number of farmers in every zip code and you can see some serious money.
I am all for helping out someone that has trouble paying his rent, putting food on his table, and giving his family decent health care. What I detest is my tax dollars helping people PROSPER. What I mean by that is why should my tax dollars help large land owners who live on the lake and drive new pickups receive any handouts (WELFARE) from me. BEST post on this thread. You sir are CORRECT!!! I know of several farmers that got the PPP. One local logger got $52 thousand. He bought a 250 tract of land a few weeks later....with that down payment that he doesn't have to pay back.
Thank God For Your Blessings! Never Half-Arse Anything!

Most that received child tax credits in the past paid taxes and the credits reduced their total due, some probably received a refund but it was not more then the taxes paid in unless other factors were met. No this is not the same as the EIC or Earned Income credit where the credit was based on a level of earned income up to a specific level, the number and age of the children. This credit could exceed any taxes paid and no persons on welfare did not receive EIC as assistance payments are not earned income. They however may have qualified for credits based on other factors.
Bryce No They are setting the ground work to do away with the extra unemployment. NOW it will be child payments. You think a mother of 4,5 or 6 kids is going to work if 1650 bucks a month is going into her checking account? Don't drink the koolaid. They tought it as monies for daycare so they can go back to work. How about paying it direct to day care.

Sarge Hey adopt a foster kid. Free health care free dental, PLUS boocoo tax credits and monthly income. In ky the rate is based on what the state would spend on a kid if they where a ward . Close to 2,000 PER MONTH !!!! PER KID !!!!

I've lost track of who exactly is the misfortunate among us. Who most would say are deserving of public assistance. It's all mixed up now to the point that between state and federal programs, the trough is huge and getting huger.
Example: before we sold our home in March, couple came from CA and bought a home in our area. $600,000. Nice vehicles. CA medicaid was their insurance and they were trying to figure out how to get on TX medicaid and were complaining over brats and brews how much harder TX was on this issue, but he is an attorney and he said he'll make it happen.
I just sipped my brew and asked the new neighbor dude why he was chasing medicaid when it looked like they had done well financially. Do not ask that Q of new neighbors was my lesson! It was like I killed his puppy.
Tiss the new Merica I guess.
Blessings, Mark
