Hey guys, last season I got permission to trap a small section of creek. It’s in very good otter country for our state, and I’d like to figure out how to set it up this upcoming season. It’s knee deep at the shallowest spot, and past my head at the deep end. It’s probably 15 foot wide, with no obvious pinch points. The edges of the creek are choked down with young willow trees. There’s no obvious place to set as far as I can tell. Any ideas or opinions? Thanks!!

Otter will work around a vertical edge into a bottom edge set just like a mink. Find a toilet or set 280/330 bottom edge sets. Just my 2 cents

When I checked it out last year, it was right after a flood so there was very little sign to be found. I’m assuming there’s probably a toilet there, as I know the deeper pools hold some fish. Thanks!

Check out google earth for topography then go scout the spots and let the otter tell you where to set.
