Tired of messing around with the goofy boat strap tie downs on our big dive boat. Want to buy some the ratchet type that mount on trailer and stay right there. I'm not worried about spending few dollars to get good ones. I know I'm going to want salt water model even though never will see salt water.
I also know that price doesn't always mean things work like should or are supposed to. So what are you guys that have them using and would you buy the same ones again? Don't want no knuckle busters or ones that pop loose like the cam over one just left on highway. Know where it's laying but not even going waste time to stop pick it up..
Point me to some good one..

Mac

Boat buckle ratchets on my boat. They work good, spray em off if you do any dirt roads.

I use these https://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/ke...e-down/0000000038185?Ntt=ratchet%20strap

I use dry lube on the ratchet mechanism to keep it working

usually hornady one shot , sometimes wd-40 specialist drylube with ptfe

I am cheap and 15 dollars is holding it tight my boat is also not that big

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Put boat buckles on my boat last year and no complaints yet. Fast, easy and out of the way.

I use a line with a trucker hitch. Never rusts, never breaks never gets stuck

Edit. You do need to weld a couple of hooks to the trailer

Ive had boat buckle brand on my jet boat for 7-8 years. Put them on a larger boat trailer this year, needed the extra bracket. They work great. Not one complaint

Thanks guys..

I guess what I want then is ones actually called "Boat Buckles".. Didn't realize that was a brand not a general name for ones from several companies.... Will have to figure out length, go to the wife's Amazon account get them coming.

Boat buckle brand. Do NOT use any knock off brands. Don’t as me how I know. MD
