My sister came home today with this beautiful dog and said happy early birthday, I can already see us getting into a lot of trouble together.

NICE!!!! Good Sister too!!!

I had a German shorthair, I said watching him was like watching magic. Just a unbelievable dog.

I was doing a show for the outdoor channel called Rocky geared up. The host of the show was Chris Jewett, his brother was camera guy. And they brought one other person. I dumped Duf out of his kennel and he ran to a small slough in the CRP field and locked on point. I said he's on a bird and Chris said he's going to the bathroom. I told the camera guy lets go. We walked down to him and I said Duf you got a bird and he just leaned forward. I turned to the camera and said he's on a bird.. I took one step and a rooster came up right in front of his nose. I came up and really powdered that bird. I tapped Duf on the rump and said fetch him up. Duf was steady to wing and shot. I bent down to get the bird from him and jokingly said going to the bathroom. The camera guy said look at the camera, and when I did the front of the camera was full of feathers. The camera guy said best shot he has ever got on film. We went back to the truck and watched a couple of times. I will never forget the dog.

They say a person only gets one good dog in a life time. I have had two Duf my GSP and Kris my Black Lab. I dont think my heart can take another one, they go way to soon.

Very nice rat. I'm an English Setter guy, but I had a great German shorthair years ago that a guy just couldn't get to do anything. I spent some time training her and she turned into a great grouse dog. Eric

That's awesome. We keep thinking about getting another basset hound. But were not home enough now.
